Data Deletion — AFT Strong
Applies to the AFT Strong Android app, com.xeroxislabz.aftstrong, published by Zero Jump Apps, LLC.
AFT Strong has no account. Your profile, results and soldiers are kept on your phone, and you delete them there. Two things can exist elsewhere: backups in your own Google Drive, if you turned on Google Drive backup, and a record on our servers, if you redeemed a promo code. Each is covered below.
Delete one of your results
- Open the “History” tab.
- Tap ⋮ (More options) on the result, then “Delete”.
- In the “Delete Test?” dialog, tap “Delete”.
Delete a soldier, or one of their results
- Open the “More” tab and tap “Grader Mode”.
- To delete a soldier and all of their results, tap ⋮ on the soldier, then “Delete soldier”, and confirm with “Delete Soldier”.
- To delete one result, tap the soldier, tap the result under “Test Results”, then “Delete result”, and confirm with “Delete”.
Delete all data
- Open the “More” tab and tap “Settings”.
- Under “Data”, tap “Delete data”, then “Delete all data”.
- In the “Delete all data?” dialog, tap “Delete everything”.
This deletes your profile, all your results, every soldier you added and all of their results. It does not delete:
- your achievements,
- your settings, your Premium and promo code status, and the Google account email shown for Google Drive backup,
- backup files, PDFs and score cards the app made, which it keeps in its temporary folder,
- your Google Drive backups,
- a promo code record on our servers.
The next two sections remove the rest.
Delete everything on your phone
Uninstall the app, or open Android Settings → Apps → AFT Strong → Storage, and clear the app’s storage. The wording differs between phones, for example “Storage & cache” → “Clear storage”.
This removes everything the app keeps on your phone, including everything listed above. If you bought Premium, it comes back automatically the next time you open the app, because the purchase belongs to your Google Play account.
PDFs you saved with “Save to device”, and files you shared, are wherever you put them. Delete them there.
Delete your Google Drive backups
Google Drive backup keeps up to five backups of your profile, results, soldiers and achievements in a hidden folder in your own Google Drive. Only AFT Strong can see that folder, and we cannot reach it. “Disconnect Google Drive” in the app stops further backups but does not delete the ones already there. To delete them:
- Open Google Drive in a web browser and sign in with the same Google account.
- Open Settings (the gear icon) → “Manage apps”.
- Find AFT Strong, open “Options” and choose “Delete hidden app data”.
To stop AFT Strong reaching your Google Drive at all, remove its access under your Google account’s connected apps.
Promo code records
When a promo code is redeemed, our server keeps a record of it so the same code cannot be used twice on one phone: the code, your phone’s Android device ID, the app version, and the time. It holds no name, email address or IP address, and it is not deleted when you delete data in the app or uninstall it. It is deleted automatically within 24 months of the redemption.
To have it deleted sooner, write to us with the promo code and the date you redeemed it. The app never shows the device ID, so the code and the date are how we find the record.
Backups made by your phone
If backup is on for your phone, Android includes AFT Strong’s data and settings in its backup to your Google account, and restores them if you reinstall the app. This is separate from Google Drive backup in the app. You can turn it off, or delete your phone’s backup, in your phone’s backup settings or under Backups in the Google Drive app.
Advertising data
Without Premium, AFT Strong shows a banner ad from Google AdMob. To serve and measure it, Google collects data such as your device’s advertising ID and IP address directly from the ads software in the app. We never receive it, so we cannot delete it for you.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID, and turn off ad personalisation, in Android Settings → Security & privacy → More privacy settings → Ads, or Settings → Google → Ads on some phones. To ask Google about the data it holds, use your Google account.
