Privacy Policy — Bombs Way
- Effective date: 5 November 2026
- Application: Bombs Way for Android (from Google Play) and for iPhone and iPad (from Apple’s App Store),
com.zerojumpapps.bombswayon both
This policy explains what information Bombs Way (“the game”) handles and why. The game is made by ZeroJumpApps, LLC (“we”, “us”). Where the Android and the iPhone and iPad versions differ, this policy says so. Questions? Email support@zerojumpapps.com.
1. What stays on your device
The game saves your progress in a file on your phone:
- your levels, stars and coins;
- the trucks and items you own;
- your missions and achievements;
- your settings.
Unless you sign in with Google or with Apple (section 3), we never receive this file, and uninstalling the game deletes it. On Android, the game does not take part in the backup to your Google account, so it is not copied there either. On iPhone and iPad, the file is part of your device’s own backups (iCloud or your computer) if you use them; Apple handles those, and we can’t see them.
You don’t need an account to play, and the game never asks for your contacts, photos or precise location. We only see an email address if you choose to sign in with Google or with Apple (section 3).
2. Online levels and Duels
When you first publish, browse or play community levels, or race a duel, the game creates an anonymous online account for you with Firebase Authentication (Google LLC). It is a random user ID, with no email or password unless you sign in with Google or with Apple (section 3). The game’s servers (Cloud Functions and Cloud Firestore in the United States, with Google LLC as our service provider) then store, linked to that ID:
- Levels you publish: their name, the level itself, its share code, how often it was played and cleared, and whether it was made with the Pro Editor.
- Your name: the default “Driver XXXX”, or a name you choose. It is shown on your levels and in Duels.
- Levels you cleared and liked: one record per level, so each player counts once.
- Your reports and appeals: if you report a level, the reason and your optional note; if you report a rival in a duel, the reason and your name; if you appeal a block, your note.
- Extra publish slots: if you watch an ad for one, a record of that ad’s reward, so it counts once, and how many extra slots you’ve earned.
- Your duels: each race you finish (your truck’s position along the road over time, your time, when you used boosts and your truck’s look), which duel it was and who you raced; your rank, wins, weekly group and points; your pace (how fast you race compared with the game’s bot, used to match you with players of your speed); your week’s-end rewards; and the challenges you share and your answers to friends’ challenges.
- Your live races: while you look for a rival or race in Multiplayer, your name, your truck’s look and, during the race, your truck’s position, time, boosts and the crates you clear are stored for that race (in the Firebase Realtime Database, also with Google LLC as our service provider) and shown to your rival live; so is the room code, for a room you share. The race’s result is checked with the same details as a duel’s. Rooms are deleted automatically within a few hours.
- Your Multiplayer rating: after ranked races (FIND A RIVAL, signed in), your rating, tier, best rating, wins, losses, races you left and streaks, and a record of each race: who you raced, the result and how it changed your rating. Race records are deleted after 90 days. Your Duels rank doesn’t depend on any of this.
- Your leaderboard scores: if you’re signed in with Google or with Apple, your best Endless distance, your total stars and your best distance in this week’s Weekly Challenge, with your name and the bomb you pick, so they can be shown on the game’s leaderboards (RANKS → LEADERBOARDS), which players on Android, iPhone and iPad share.
- Racer profiles: your name, the bomb you pick, truck, Duels rank and record, Multiplayer rating and record, and how many levels you’ve published are shown to other players on your profile. If you report a racer’s name from their profile, your report and your name are kept for the moderators.
- Moderation records: reports on your levels and on your duel races (your own, and other players’ about you), wins flagged automatically for being far faster than the game’s bot, and our moderators’ decisions with their reasons (removals, warnings, blocks, duel bans, appeals).
This data is used only to run the community features, to moderate them and keep them safe, and to prevent abuse.
Your levels and your name are public to other players. In Duels, other players race your recorded runs as “ghosts” and see your name, time and rank. Your rank, name and weekly points are shown in your weekly group and, if you’re among the week’s best, in the top racers list. Your Multiplayer rating, tier and name are shown to your rival and, if you’re among the best, in Multiplayer’s top racers. Your name, bomb and scores are shown on the game’s leaderboards if you’re among a board’s best. A challenge you share can be raced by anyone with its link. The rest is seen only by our moderators, who sign in with Google accounts and use an internal dashboard.
We keep this data while your account exists. Delete it at any time in the game under Settings → Delete online data: this deletes your account (and its link to your Google or Apple account, if you signed in), your levels and their codes, your name, your clears and likes, your extra publish slots, the reports you made and the reports made about your levels and duel races, your leaderboard scores, your duels (your duel record, rank, races, challenges and your answers to friends’ challenges), and your Multiplayer rating and record. Other players’ past results against you stay, without your name. Records of ranked Multiplayer races stay, with your user ID but without your name, until they are deleted 90 days after the race. We keep our moderators’ decisions (with your user ID and creator name) for up to one year after the decision, to handle repeat abuse, and then delete them. Purchase records stay too (section 7).
3. Sign in with Google or with Apple (optional)
To leave the UNRANKED rank in Duels, to be on the game’s leaderboards, and so that your rank and progress follow you to a new phone, you can sign in, in the Duels lobby or in Settings: with your Google account on Android, with your Apple Account (Sign in with Apple) on iPhone and iPad. Firebase Authentication then links that account to your online account and stores:
- with Google: your Google account’s email address and its Google user ID;
- with Apple: the user ID Apple gives the game for you and the email address Apple passes on, which is your own or, if you choose Hide My Email, a private relay address that Apple forwards to you.
We use them only to sign you in and to keep your rank and data with your account. They are never shown to other players or used for advertising.
Signing in is optional; everything else works without it. Settings → Delete online data removes it; on iPhone and iPad this also asks Apple to end the game’s sign-in with your Apple Account. You can remove the game’s access yourself at any time: for Google at https://myaccount.google.com/connections, for Apple in Settings → your name → Sign in with Apple.
While you’re signed in, the game also keeps a copy of your progress (the file described in section 1, and the levels and bosses in your editor) on the game’s servers (Cloud Firestore, as in section 2), linked to your online account, so it can come back on a new phone or after you reinstall. It is used for nothing else and never shown to anyone. Settings → Delete online data deletes it.
4. Game statistics (Android only)
The iPhone and iPad version doesn’t include Firebase Analytics. On Android, to learn which levels are too hard and which features players enjoy, the game sends anonymous usage events to Firebase Analytics (Google LLC): for example that a level was started or finished, how long it took, what the truck crashed into, which items were bought in the shop, and which in-game purchases were made.
Firebase also records basic device information (device model, operating system version, language, app version), your approximate location derived from your IP address, and a random app-instance identifier. This data is not linked to your name or contact details and is used only to improve the game. Google’s privacy information: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
5. Crash reports (Android only)
The iPhone and iPad version doesn’t include Firebase Crashlytics. On Android, when the game crashes, Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC) sends us a crash report so we can fix the problem. A report contains technical details only: the stack trace, device model, operating system version, free memory and disk space, whether the app was in the foreground, and a random installation identifier. Crash data is kept for 90 days.
6. Advertising
The game is free and offers optional rewarded ads through Google AdMob (Google LLC), for example to continue after a crash or to double your coins. Players without VIP may also see an ad between levels: in the campaign from level 10, at most one every three levels cleared, and between community levels, at most one every three levels.
To show ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure ad performance and prevent fraud, AdMob may collect and process:
- your device’s advertising ID or app set ID on Android; on iPhone and iPad, your device’s advertising identifier (only if you allow tracking when the game asks) and an identifier for our apps on your device;
- your approximate location, derived from your IP address;
- information about ad interactions (views, taps), app performance and diagnostics.
On iPhone and iPad the game asks for your permission to track before its first ad request. It plays the same whichever you choose, and without it AdMob doesn’t receive your device’s advertising identifier.
Where the law requires consent (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), the game asks for it the first time you open it, using Google’s consent tool. You can change your choice at any time under Settings → Privacy options in the game. If you don’t consent, you may still see non-personalised ads.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads (on some phones, Settings → Google → Ads). On iPhone and iPad, change the game’s permission in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. 7. In-app purchases
Purchases are handled entirely by Google Play on Android and by Apple’s App Store on iPhone and iPad. We never see your payment details.
To check that a purchase is real and to handle refunds, the game sends each purchase to our server (Cloud Functions, with Google LLC as our service provider):
- which product it was;
- the store’s ID for it: Google Play’s order ID, or the App Store’s transaction ID;
- a one-way hash of its purchase code (Google Play) or of the App Store’s original transaction ID.
This record is linked to your anonymous online account, which the game creates for this if you don’t have one yet. On Android our server asks Google Play about the purchase; on iPhone and iPad it checks Apple’s signature on it. Google Play and the App Store tell us about refunds and chargebacks. If a purchase is refunded, the game takes back what it gave (for example VIP, or a coin pack’s coins).
The server also keeps a summary of your account’s purchases: whether you own the Pro Editor, VIP and the Starter Pack, what was taken back, how many refunds there were and any coins still owed. Delete online data removes that summary.
We keep purchase records, with your user ID, for as long as we need them for accounting, refunds and fraud prevention, at most 3 years, including after you delete your online account.
8. Leaderboards and achievements
On Android, if you sign in to Google Play Games, your endless-run distances, Weekly Challenge distances, total stars and achievements are sent to Google Play Games and shown under your Play Games profile name, for example on leaderboards other players can see. This is handled by Google under its own privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy); Play Games doesn’t give us your email address or Google account details.
On iPhone and iPad, if you’re signed in to Apple’s Game Center, the same scores and achievements are sent to Game Center and shown under your Game Center profile, for example on its leaderboards, in challenges with your friends and in Apple’s Games app. This is handled by Apple under its own privacy policy (https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/); Game Center doesn’t give us your name, email address or Apple Account details.
Both are optional; the game works fully without them. The game’s own leaderboards (RANKS → LEADERBOARDS) are separate: see “Your leaderboard scores” in section 2.
9. Children
Bombs Way is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us (section 13) and we will delete it.
10. Your rights and deleting your data
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, the UK GDPR or the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data, or to object to its processing.
All of the data above is linked only to random identifiers, except your email address if you signed in with Google or with Apple. The only account is the optional online one, and you can delete it in the game. The steps for deleting your data are set out in full at https://zerojumpapps.com/legal/bombsway/deletion/, or email us (section 13) and we will help, including passing deletion requests on to Google or Apple where needed.
11. International transfers
The game’s servers, and Google’s processing for Firebase and AdMob, may be located outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, these transfers rely on the safeguards Google maintains, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the game.
