Privacy Policy — Suzztain

1. Who this policy covers

This policy explains how the Suzztain mobile app (“Suzztain,” “the app,” “we,” “us”) handles your information. It applies to the app on Android. It does not cover any third-party app or service you might choose to send an exported file to (see Section 7), or the Google Play store transaction through which the app is sold (see Section 9).

2. Our privacy-first approach

Suzztain is designed to be completely offline:

• No account. You don’t register, provide an email, or log in.
• No servers, no cloud. The app has no backend. We operate no servers that receive your data.
• No internet permission at all. This is stronger than a promise. Suzztain does not declare the Android INTERNET permission, so the operating system will not let the app open a network connection even if it tried. There is no telemetry, no remote configuration, no licence check, and no font or content download.
• No tracking. We do not use analytics, advertising, crash reporting, cookies, tracking pixels, or any third-party SDKs that collect data about you.

3. Information we do not collect

Because the app has no backend and no accounts, we do not collect, receive, or store: your name, email, phone number, location, contacts, photos, device identifiers, advertising ID, IP address, usage or analytics data, crash reports, or any of your training records. We have no ability to see, access, or recover your data.

4. Information you create, and where it lives

When you use Suzztain you create training data such as: the exercises you choose and any custom exercises you define (including their name, category, and muscle weightings), the timers you start, and the sessions you save from them — which exercise, when it started, how long it ran, the count of repetitions or held seconds, and any tags and notes you add. From those sessions the app computes personal records and a recent-load figure for each muscle, on your device.

You may also set preferences such as lead-in length, haptics, completion sound and vibration, notification preferences, body-map recovery speed and scaling, and theme.

All of this is stored locally on your device only, in the app’s private storage (a local database plus on-device app settings). It is not backed up to us or to any cloud by the app. If you uninstall the app, use “Delete all data” in Settings, or clear its data without first making your own export, that information is permanently gone — we cannot restore it for you.

5. Device permissions the app uses

Suzztain keeps permissions minimal, and none of them gives the app access to your identity, your location, your files, or the network:

• Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS) — to show a running timer in your notification shade, to tell you when a timer reaches its target, and to tell you when trained muscles have returned to their recovered state. You are asked for this in Settings, and you may decline; timers still run either way. Every notification is generated on your device from data already on it.
• Exact alarms (USE_EXACT_ALARM, and SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM on Android 12 and earlier) — so a timer finishes at the moment it should, even while the app is closed and the device is idle.
• Run at startup (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED) — so a timer that was running when your device restarted is put back together correctly, and so a recovery reminder is not lost to a reboot.
• Vibrate (VIBRATE) — for the rep buzz and the completion buzz, if you switch them on.
• Files — only through Android’s Storage Access Framework, when you export or restore a file you have chosen (see Section 7). The app holds no broad storage permission and cannot browse your files.

6. Deleting your data

Settings contains a “Delete all data” action, behind two confirmations, which erases every saved session, every personal record, your custom exercises, and any timer still running. Uninstalling the app removes everything it stored. Since we never receive your data, there is nothing for you to request from us and nothing for us to delete on our end.

7. Exporting and backing up — your responsibility

Suzztain lets you export your history as a CSV file and your full data as a JSON backup, and later restore from that backup. This is provided so you stay in full control of your own data. It uses Android’s Storage Access Framework: you choose where the file goes, and the app writes only to the location you picked. It never happens automatically or in the background.

Please read this carefully:

• Exported files are NOT encrypted. They contain your training records in plain, readable text.
• Once you export a file, it leaves the app’s protected on-device storage, and you are solely responsible for it — including where you save it, who you share it with, and keeping it secure.
• If you send an exported file to cloud storage, email, a messaging app, or any other service, that data becomes subject to that service’s privacy and security practices, which are outside our control.
• We recommend only saving exports to locations you trust and deleting copies you no longer need.

8. Data security

Your training data is stored in the app’s private, sandboxed storage on your device and is never transmitted by the app. The overall security of that data also depends on your device — for example, your device’s screen lock and encryption. Because exported files are unencrypted (Section 7), the security of any export you create is up to you. No method of electronic storage is ever 100% secure, but by keeping everything local and offline, Suzztain minimizes exposure.

9. Purchase

Suzztain is a one-time purchase from Google Play. There is nothing to buy inside the app: no subscriptions, no in-app purchases, and no advertising. The transaction is handled entirely by Google Play under Google’s own privacy policy. We never see your payment details, and the app itself contains no billing code and performs no licence check — which is also why it works with no network at all.

10. Third-party services

Suzztain contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or data-collection SDKs. The one third-party component included in the app is the DM Sans typeface, bundled with the app and used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1; it is a font file, and it neither collects nor transmits anything. The only other third parties that can become involved are ones you invoke — for example, when you choose a location for an exported file, or open a link to this policy in your browser. Any data handled that way is governed by that third party’s own privacy policy, not this one.

11. Children’s privacy

Suzztain does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children. No data is transmitted to us regardless of the user’s age.

12. Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights of access, correction, deletion, portability, and objection over personal data a company holds about you. We hold none, so there is nothing for us to disclose or erase. On your own device you can exercise the practical equivalents at any time: view and edit any session in History, delete sessions individually, export everything through Backup, and erase all of it from Settings or by uninstalling. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising, because we do not have any.

13. Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above and post the new version at https://zerojumpapps.com/legal/suzztain/privacy/. Material changes will be reflected in the app or on our website. Any future change that introduced collection of personal data would also require new permissions, which Android shows you at install or at runtime.

15. Governing law

Zero Jump Apps, LLC is established in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, United States. This policy is governed by the law of Puerto Rico and applicable United States federal law. If you are a resident of Puerto Rico, you may raise a consumer complaint with the Puerto Rico Department of Consumer Affairs (Departamento de Asuntos del Consumidor, DACO). Because the app transmits nothing to us, there is no personal information on our side that such a complaint could concern.
