Data Deletion — TapDash Royale

LAST UPDATED · 4 OCTOBER 2026

Applies to TapDash Royale for Android (com.zerojumpapps.tapdashroyale) and for iPhone, published by Zero Jump Apps, LLC. Where the two differ, the difference is named.

TapDash Royale has no accounts. Most of what it keeps is on your phone. The exception is ONLINE play, which keeps each room on our servers in Google Firebase. LOCAL play never reaches our servers.

What ONLINE play stores

The first time you create or join an ONLINE room, the app signs in anonymously: Firebase gives this copy of the app a random id, with no name, email address or phone number attached. The app reuses that id for later ONLINE matches.

For each ONLINE room, our servers hold:

  • the room: its code, the host’s anonymous id, the number of rounds and players, the current round, and when it was created and last heard from the host;
  • each player: their display name, scores, whether they are the host, and when they joined and were last seen, filed under their anonymous id.

Anyone who has the room’s code can see the names and scores in it for as long as it exists.

When ONLINE data is deleted

The app deletes it at two points, and needs a connection to do so:

  • When the host taps “PLAY AGAIN” on the winner screen, the room and every player in it are deleted.
  • When a player taps “PLAY AGAIN”, or “LEAVE ROOM” after the host has left, that player is deleted from the room.

Nothing else deletes it, and there is no automatic clean-up. If the host closes the app, loses the connection or stops before the winner screen, the room and its players stay on our servers. If a player closes the app instead, their name and scores stay in the room.

The anonymous id is not deleted. It stays in Firebase Authentication, with nothing attached to it but the id and when it was created and last used.

Ask us to delete a room

Write to us with the room’s code, which starts with TAP-, and we will delete the room and every player in it within 30 days, and reply to confirm. If the room has already been deleted, we will tell you so. We need the code to find it: there is no account or email address to search on.

What is on your phone

  • Your language choice.
  • A tap sound, if you imported one: a copy of the whole audio file you picked, its file name, and the part you chose.
  • A copy of ONLINE rooms you played in, including the other players’ names and scores.
  • The results image, if you shared one.
  • Your advertising consent choice, and identifiers used by Google’s ads, crash reporting and sign-in software.

To delete the tap sound only, tap ⚙ on the home screen, then “REMOVE” under “Tap sound”. It is deleted straight away, with no confirmation.

To delete everything:

  • Android: uninstall the app, or open Android Settings → Apps → TapDash Royale (listed as “tapdashroyale”) → Storage, and clear the app’s storage. The wording differs between phones, for example “Storage & cache” → “Clear storage”. The next ONLINE match then gets a new anonymous id.
  • iPhone: delete the app. iOS can keep the anonymous sign-in in the phone’s keychain, so a reinstall may come back with the same id.

Neither removes rooms held on our servers. See “Ask us to delete a room”.

Backups made by your phone

  • Android: if backup is on for your phone, Android includes TapDash Royale in its backup to your Google account (your language, tap sound, the copy of rooms and the anonymous sign-in) and restores it if you reinstall the app. You can turn backup off, or delete your phone’s backup, in your phone’s backup settings or under Backups in the Google Drive app.
  • iPhone: iCloud Backup and backups to a computer include your tap sound, your settings and the copy of rooms. You can manage them in Settings → your name → iCloud → iCloud Backup.

Advertising data

TapDash Royale shows banner ads from Google AdMob, and a full-screen ad when the winner screen appears. To serve and measure them, Google collects data such as your device’s advertising identifier and IP address directly from the ads software in the app. We never receive it, so we cannot delete it for you.

  • Consent: where the law requires it, the app asks for your advertising choice when it starts. The app has no button to reopen that form yet. To choose again, clear the app’s storage on Android, or delete and reinstall the app on iPhone, and the form is shown again.
  • Android: you can reset or delete your advertising ID, and turn off ad personalisation, in Android Settings → Security & privacy → More privacy settings → Ads, or Settings → Google → Ads on some phones.
  • iPhone: you can stop the app tracking you in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
  • To ask Google about the data it holds, use your Google account.

Crash reports

If the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics sends us a report: the error, your phone’s model and system version, and whether you were playing ONLINE or LOCAL, as host or player. It never contains your name or a room code, and nothing in it tells us who you are, so we cannot find yours on request. Crashlytics deletes reports after 90 days.
