Privacy Policy — BeamFold

LAST UPDATED · 6 OCTOBER 2026

Applies to the Android application com.zerojumpapps.beamfold and to the BeamFold web pages at beamfold-game.web.app.

This policy explains what information BeamFold (“the game”, “we”, “us”), made by Zero Jump Apps, collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

If you have questions, contact us at support@zerojumpapps.com.

1. The short version

  • You can play the whole campaign and the Daily Beam without an account. Your progress stays on your device.
  • Signing in with Google is optional. It’s only needed to publish levels you create.
  • The game shows ads from Google AdMob, including optional ads you choose to watch for in-game rewards.
  • To rate how hard levels are, the game records attempts and clears for each level.
  • We don’t sell your personal information.
  • You can delete your account and its online data at any time, in the app or on the web.

2. Information stored only on your device

The following stays on your device and is not sent to us:

  • Campaign progress: stars, best moves, the levels you’ve unlocked, and your Daily Beam streak.
  • Settings: haptics, reduced effects and color shapes.
  • Levels you create in the level editor, until you choose to publish them.

Uninstalling the game, or using Reset progress in Settings, removes this information.

3. Information we collect

a) If you sign in with Google

When you sign in (Settings → Account), we receive your Google account’s name, email address, and a unique account identifier from Google through Firebase Authentication. We use them to keep your published levels and level credits linked to you, and to let you manage or delete your account. Your email address is not shown to other players.

b) Levels you publish

When you publish a level, we store its name, the level itself, its theme, its par (the fewest moves to solve it), whether it is public or private, its share code, how many times it has been played, and the account that published it.

  • Public levels can be found and played by anyone in the game.
  • Private levels can be played by anyone who has their share code or QR code.

Level names are checked automatically for inappropriate words before publishing.

c) Play statistics

To show each level’s clear rate and difficulty, the game sends us a record each time you start or clear a level. This covers campaign, Daily Beam and shared levels, but not test plays of your own levels. Each record contains the level, and for a clear also the number of moves, restarts, undos, hints used and hazard failures. We keep a count of your attempts and clears on each level so that every player is counted once.

  • If you’re signed in, these records are linked to your account.
  • If you aren’t, they’re linked to a random identifier created when the app is installed. It isn’t connected to your name or Google account.

d) Level credits and rewards

If you’re signed in, we store your number of level credits, how many levels you’ve published each day, and a record of each rewarded ad you completed (a transaction identifier provided by AdMob), so that each ad is rewarded only once.

e) Reports

If you report a level, we store the level, the reason you chose, any note you write, the time, and your account identifier, or the random install identifier if you aren’t signed in. Reports are seen only by our moderators.

f) Moderation

If one of your levels is reviewed, we keep a record of the action taken (for example, a level hidden or removed, or an account banned from publishing) and when.

g) Technical information

Our servers are run by Google Firebase and Google Cloud. They automatically keep short-lived technical logs of requests, such as IP address, time and errors, to operate and secure the service.

4. Advertising

BeamFold shows ads through Google AdMob. You can choose to watch rewarded ads to earn a level credit or to unlock the next level. Google may collect and use information such as your device’s advertising ID, IP address, approximate location, and device and app information to show and measure ads. Where the law requires it, for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, you’ll be asked for consent before any ad is requested, and you can change your answer at any time in Settings → Ad privacy choices.

You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads in your device’s Google settings. For more information, see Google’s policy.

Ads in BeamFold are limited to content rated for general and parental-guidance audiences, and sensitive categories such as gambling and alcohol are blocked where AdMob allows it.

5. How we use information

We use the information above to:

  • run the game’s online features: publishing, share codes, Browse, level credits;
  • calculate and show clear rates and difficulty ratings;
  • prevent abuse, for example by counting each player once and limiting publishes and rewards;
  • review reports and moderate player-made levels;
  • show ads and grant ad rewards;
  • respond to your requests, including account deletion.

6. Sharing

We don’t sell your personal information or share it for others’ marketing. Information is shared only:

  • with service providers that run the game for us: Google Firebase and Google Cloud (accounts, database, servers, hosting), Google AdMob (ads), and Google Play services (sign-in and QR code scanning);
  • publicly, for what you choose to publish: your level’s name and content, and its play and clear statistics;
  • when required by law, or to protect the safety of our players or the service.

7. How long we keep information

  • Account information, published levels, credits and play records are kept until you delete your account, or until you unpublish a level, which deletes that level and its share code.
  • Totals on levels, such as how many attempts a level has had, are kept after you delete your account because they don’t identify you.
  • Reports and the moderation log are kept as long as needed to moderate the game and handle disputes.
  • Technical logs are kept for a limited time by Google Cloud, typically 30 days.

8. Your choices and rights

  • Play without an account: sign-in is optional.
  • Sign out at any time in Settings → Account.
  • Delete your account and its online data in Settings → Account → Delete account, or at beamfold-game.web.app/delete-account. See Data Deletion — BeamFold.
  • Unpublish any level from the level editor.
  • Opt out of personalized ads in your device’s settings, and, where ad consent rules apply, change your consent in Settings → Ad privacy choices.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your information. To make a request, contact us at support@zerojumpapps.com.

9. Children

BeamFold is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us at support@zerojumpapps.com and we’ll delete it.

10. Security

Information is sent over encrypted connections and stored on Google Cloud infrastructure. The game can’t write to the database directly: every change goes through our server, which checks it. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

11. International transfers

Our servers are in the United States. If you play from elsewhere, your information is processed there.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we’ll let you know in the game.
