Terms of Service — Ring Maker
Effective date: 26 July 2026
Ring Maker (“the app”) is an Android application published by Zero Jump Apps, LLC (“we”, “us”, “the developer”). These Terms of Service (“the Terms”) are the agreement between you and the developer covering your use of the app.
By installing or using Ring Maker, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to them, do not use the app.
1. The licence we grant you
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Ring Maker on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.
This is a licence to use the app, not a sale of it. The developer retains all rights in the app that are not expressly granted to you here.
2. What you may not do
You agree not to:
- Copy, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or otherwise distribute the app itself
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app, or attempt to derive its source code, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits this despite this restriction
- Modify the app, or create derivative works based on it
- Remove or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notice
- Use the app to create, store, or distribute material you have no legal right to use, or that is unlawful in your jurisdiction
- Interfere with the advertising in the app, including blocking, spoofing, or artificially generating ad impressions or clicks
- Use the app in any way that breaches applicable law, or the terms of the store you obtained it from
3. Your audio and your responsibility for it
Ring Maker does not provide, host, or supply any audio content. Every file you open in the app is one that is already on your device and that you chose.
You are solely responsible for the audio files you use and for anything you create from them. You confirm that, for each file you process, you own it or otherwise have the right to copy it, modify it, trim it, and use the result for your intended purpose.
Copyright law in most countries restricts what you may do with commercially released music, even music you have purchased. Making a personal ringtone from a track you own is treated differently in different places, and sharing or distributing that ringtone to other people is a further step that is more often restricted. These Terms do not grant you any rights in anyone else’s audio, and the developer makes no representation that any particular use is lawful where you live. If you are unsure, check before you use it.
The developer has no access to your files, no ability to review them, and no control over what you do with them. See section 7.
4. Your content remains yours
Everything you create with Ring Maker belongs to you. The developer claims no ownership of, and no licence to, your audio files or the ringtones you produce.
Because the app has no server, we never receive them. What the app stores and where it stores it is described in the Ring Maker Privacy Policy, which forms part of your use of the app.
5. Advertising
Ring Maker is free and displays banner advertisements provided by Google AdMob.
Ads are supplied by Google and its advertising partners, not by the developer. We do not select, endorse, or vouch for the products, services, or advertisers shown, and we are not responsible for the content of any advertisement or for anything you obtain from an advertiser. Any dealing you have with an advertiser is between you and them.
What information Google collects to serve ads, and how you can limit ad personalisation, is set out in section 3 of the Ring Maker Privacy Policy.
6. Permissions, device settings, and system sounds
The app requests the Android permissions listed in section 4 of the Privacy Policy, and uses them only for the purposes stated there.
Setting a sound as your default ringtone, notification tone, or alarm changes a system setting on your device and requires the “modify system settings” permission. You grant that permission yourself, through Android, at the moment you use the feature, and you can revoke it at any time in Android Settings. By using the feature you are asking the app to make that change.
You are responsible for the consequences of the sounds you set. In particular, setting an unsuitable, silent, very quiet, or very short sound as an alarm may mean you do not wake up. Do not rely on the app for any alarm that matters without testing the result first.
7. No warranty
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of defects; that it will work on every device, Android version, manufacturer skin, or audio format; that trimmed output will be free of artefacts; or that any defect will be corrected.
Audio processing is complex and involves your device’s own hardware codecs. Results vary between devices. Keep your original files. Do not use the app on audio you cannot afford to lose.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, loss of audio files, loss of profits, missed alarms, missed calls, or device malfunction, arising out of or connected with your use of or inability to use the app, however caused and on any theory of liability.
Where liability cannot be excluded, the developer’s total aggregate liability to you for all claims relating to the app is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the app (which is zero, as the app is free) or USD $10.00.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages. Where that is the case, the exclusions and limitations above apply only to the extent permitted, and you may have rights that these Terms cannot restrict. Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or wilful misconduct (dolo), or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Under the law of Puerto Rico, an advance waiver of liability for fraud or wilful misconduct is void, and Puerto Rico consumer protection law limits how far warranties may be disclaimed in a consumer transaction. Sections 7 and 8 are to be read subject to those limits, and are severable under section 15 to the extent they exceed them.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developer from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) brought by a third party and arising from your use of the app, from the audio files you process with it, or from your breach of these Terms — in particular any claim that your use of a file infringed someone’s copyright or other rights.
10. Third party services and stores
The app includes the Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) SDK. Your use of it is also subject to Google’s own terms and policies.
If you obtained Ring Maker from Google Play, your use is additionally subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. These Terms are between you and the developer only. Google is not a party to them, is not responsible for the app, and has no obligation to provide support for it. Where the Google Play terms and these Terms conflict, the Google Play terms govern that conflict as between you and Google.
11. Updates and availability
We may release updates, change features, or add, alter, or remove functionality at any time. Updates are delivered through the store you installed from, and may be applied automatically depending on your device settings.
We may also stop distributing or supporting the app at any time, without liability to you. Copies already installed on your device will keep working for as long as they remain compatible with your device, but we do not undertake to keep them working.
12. Termination
You may end this agreement at any time by uninstalling the app.
This licence ends automatically if you breach these Terms. On termination you must stop using the app and uninstall it. Sections 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, and 14 survive termination.
13. Privacy
The Ring Maker Privacy Policy explains what the app stores, what it does not collect, and what Google’s advertising software processes. It is incorporated into these Terms by reference, and reading it is part of understanding this agreement.
14. Governing law, venue, and language
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules, and by applicable United States federal law.
You and the developer agree that any dispute arising from these Terms or from your use of the app will be brought exclusively in the Court of First Instance of Puerto Rico, San Juan Judicial Part, or in the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
Nothing in this section prevents you from bringing a complaint before the Puerto Rico Department of Consumer Affairs (Departamento de Asuntos del Consumidor, DACO) where that agency has jurisdiction over the matter, or from exercising any other right that Puerto Rico consumer protection law gives you and does not permit to be waived in advance.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction whose law gives you the protection of your local courts and mandatory consumer rules, nothing in this section removes those rights.
Language. Spanish and English are both official languages of Puerto Rico, and Ring Maker itself is offered in several languages. These Terms are written and issued in English, and the English text governs their interpretation. If we publish a translation, it is provided for convenience; in the event of any inconsistency the English version prevails, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
15. General
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and the developer concerning the app.
If any provision is held unenforceable, it is severed and the rest remains in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a transfer of the app or the business.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms, for example when the app gains a feature these Terms do not cover. The “last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not accept them, uninstall the app.
