Data Deletion — Noqui Notes

LAST UPDATED · 28 SEPTEMBER 2026

Noqui Notes has no accounts and no servers. We don’t hold any of your data, so there’s nothing for you to request from us. Your data exists only on your device and, if you chose to back up, in backup files you control. Here’s how to delete each of them.

1. Delete individual notes

  1. In the app, move notes to Trash (swipe a note, or select notes and choose Trash).
  2. Open Trash (in the Folders tab, or Settings → Storage → Manage trash), select the notes and choose Delete permanently.
  3. Notes left in Trash are deleted automatically after 30 days.

When a note is permanently deleted, so are its attachments and its version history.

2. Delete everything on this device

Either of these removes the encrypted vault, all notes, attachments, history and settings from the device:

  • Uninstall Noqui Notes; or
  • open Android Settings → Apps → Noqui Notes → Storage → Clear storage.

This can’t be undone. If you don’t have a backup you can open, your notes are gone for good.

3. Delete Google Drive backups (if you used them)

  1. In the app, open Settings → Backup & restore and choose Disconnect Google Drive. This stops future uploads and removes the connected account from the app.
  2. In Google Drive (drive.google.com or the Drive app), delete the “Noqui Notes Backups” folder, then empty Drive’s Trash.
  3. To revoke the app’s access to your Google account, go to myaccount.google.com/permissions, choose Noqui Notes and select Remove access.

4. Delete local backup files

If you exported .noqui backup files, delete them from wherever you saved them (for example Downloads, a USB drive or another cloud folder).

5. Advertising data

Ads in the app come from Google AdMob, and we don’t receive the information the ads SDK collects. To limit or delete it:

  • change your choice in Settings → Ad privacy choices (shown where the law requires a consent option);
  • reset or delete your device’s advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads (or Settings → Google → Ads, depending on the device);
  • manage ad personalisation and your Google activity at myadcenter.google.com.

6. Purchase records

If you bought “Remove ads”, Google Play keeps the record of your purchase under Google’s privacy policy. You can manage your Google Play order history at pay.google.com or through Google’s account settings. We receive only the limited transaction records Google provides to developers and keep them for accounting and tax purposes as the law requires.
